soloCaring for all is a key aim for members of Dorridge Methodist Church, not just within our own community but outside too. For many years we have given to other charities both local and international

SoLO provides activities and opportunities for children and adults with learning disabilities. SoLO’s journey started in 2000 and 16 years later is offering holiday and term time activities for children, Daylight and Evolve for younger adults during the day plus lots of social opportunities for over 1000 SoLO members. In addition to providing services from its bases in the Fire Station, Solihull and Walnut Close, Chelmsley Wood it offers friendship and social opportunities at venues all around the community of Solihull. SoLO’s personal assistants support our members in their homes and community as well.

SoLO’s vision and values is to provide high quality services that are delivered by a well-supported team, confident and skilled staff team, both paid and voluntary that enables its members to reach their full potential whilst having fun.

SoLO, like every other charity, needs fundraised income to support its members and volunteers are essential to every aspect of its work.
