First time with us

All of us can feel awkward in a new environment but there is no need to worry. We will do our best to welcome you and put you at ease.

Most services will include some hymns or songs, prayers, a Bible reading and a short sermon or talk. The person leading the service will guide the congregation through the service and the words to hymns will be displayed on the screens at the front of the Church.

We usually stand up to sing hymns and remain seated for prayers, Bible readings and the sermon. Those around you will be happy to assist you are not sure of what to do. Please do let us know on arrival if you have any special needs such as mobility problems or a sensory impairment and we will help you find a suitable place to sit.

Besides Sunday worship, there is much more on offer at Dorridge Methodist Church, from small fellowship groups and prayer days, to music groups, sports and a wide range of social events. We even run a Monday morning community café! You can find out more by exploring the website, asking one of the Stewards at Sunday worship or email minister@dorridgemethodists.org.uk.
